As much as I think Delaney is a twat who needs to get out more (and cheer up, the miserable looking bastard), there is a valid point to be made about football finance and the unfairness of wealth distribution, historical and current, and he does touch on it every now and then. The thing is it gets swamped under the incessant deluge of the sportswashing, state ownership and financial doping nonsense. If only he could rid himself of those prejudices, there may be some good content in there.
Sportswashing doesn’t exist. They are all in it for the money. There is a legitimate debate to be had about the globalisation of sport but our media is too stupid, biased, or racist, to cover it.

He’s genuinely disturbing and clearly has serious issues.

Nic
Got sent this.
Wish we could open a libel case against these cunts who peddle the same tropes day in, day out.

Harris is giving his own sports awards now?

Nice ;)

It was notable yesterday that when Jabba the Hut, sorry, Garth Crooks put out his team of the season, he selected Haaland up front. In his musings, he applauded the fact that Haalnd is in now at City, but actually said, "...instead of that wretched false nine...." system we used to have.

You know - the very successful one that won us the league last year!
Wretched my arse.
Also had Dias as Spanish until it was corrected later in the day.
Guys a fuckwit

I think because he was a centre forward himself he probably hates the phrase false nine which is fair enough.
It's not often I stick up for owl eyes but I don't think he was having a dig at us, for a change I might add.

In the latest Athletic podcast (this one regarding Everton survival). They openly talked about how there would be suspiciously bad stories in the press (2021-22 season) about Everton in the lead up to an important game and there was increased pressure on Premier League for action by Leeds and Burnley to destabilize Everton in a crucial game.

Odd how we're apparently paranoid though and there is no agenda.

I dont know what this prick looks like (please dont post a pic btw), and I only see his tweets etc on here.
However, I have an image reminiscent of that police chief in the pink panther films played by Herbert Lom, being driven increasingly mad and developing twitches, ticks and jerks at the very thought of his nemesis Clouseau.

I think he ended up in an asylum wearing a straight jacket..............please god let this mans hatred for City consume him thus, the staff could inform him of Citys latest victories and he could continue to write his hateful musings on the cell walls, fitting really as they are read by lunatics anyway.

Harris actually gets paid to write in a paper. Fuck me.

Quite easy to just make a cogent argument any of the worthy candidates as De Zerbi, Emery & Howe all had great seasons. The quantifier of 'resources at their disposal' and the assumption that City walk every title is clearly an issue for some.

Yes - that's fair enough - those managers have had good seasons. But the objectionable thing about Harris' tweet is the references to cheating and state funding etc. All of us have have tried over and over to tell people we are not state-funded and calling us cheats before due process has been carried out is despicable. Someone who has achieved so little in his career is able to spout this bile and of course enable ill-informed fans of other clubs to re-spout (probably not a word) it. I know its upsetting and makes everyone angry but I think it's best ignored. Treat it with contempt by not referring to it but present our case strongly and accurately without giving idiots like this any legitimacy.

I know…I wouldn’t trust the **** with crayons.

I don’t really have a problem with that because it’s all relative. You’d have to be able to justify your pick and De Zerbi has done well with the resources he has.

There has been an anyone but City bias in the end of season managerial awards though and generally I would expect the league winning manager to have the strongest claim. Chuck in a couple of finals and there really should be no contest this season
Bobby Manc and Pellers hate this post :-(

Oh yeah but he'll never move from that hill that he's chosen to die on. If anything, it's an added embarrassing lowlight for him. He, and his erstwhile employers, should be embarrassed

I see that Nick Harris has been spouting his usual nonsense. Just a reminder that he knows nothing: even the High Court correctly stated that he isn't an expert. It's a very sore point with him, so we shouldn't ever let him forget it.

His pitiful level of knowledge is far from unique among the WhatsApp group, though. These Tweets highlighted by the estimable Rabin amply demonstrate that another of our old friends who fancies himself as a commentator on the business side of football doesn't even have a grasp of the most basic accounting issues.
