United (N) | FA Cup Final | Post-Match Thread

For a moment i thought we'd get dicked when that horrible penalty was given but ecstatic we came through. It feels extra special when you're up against the officials too like we were today and still come out on top.

Overall a good performance and captain stood up again in spectacular fashion when it matterd most, good things happen to good people and hopefully Gundogan will help us win our first CL too but it would require a performance like Madrid or Bayern. I'm also really happy for Ortega, he's a fine keeper and another great signing like Akangi, i must say our scouts have been doing an exception job

Don't be convinced by this letter of the law bullshit. There's been loads of handballs exactly like this not given due to proximity, speed of ball, natural position ect in the premier league over the last few months. They have 100% relaxed the rules since Xmas just bizarrely not in this game ( I wonder why?). If this was a champions league then I'd say it's a fair cop as they are strict on the rules but pigmol are a bunch of corrupt twats.
you have to wonder, would it have been given had we been playing Brighton

Genuine question. Did they even have a shot on target from open play? I can't recall one

I said early on when Fernandes was whining about getting breathed on they were playing for pens cause it was the only chance they had and I stand by that
None on target.

I thought they were playing for penalties and they were given one.

My dad got me into city in 1994 when I was about 12, I'm from Ireland so EVERYONE supported the rags or the dippers. No internet so you couldnt get a city top. Almost went to one of those dark sides purely because you never got to see city. I didn't. I spent my teens and 20's as "the city fan" in our town.

First live game, Tranmere away 0-0 and I got to meet kinkladze on the pitch - I thought this was magic!

My old man's last game was the Lyon debacle in 2020 and he told me that night as we watched it in the hospital, I was furious - "that team owe us nothing son"

I wish that man could see what we've become, and I could share it with him.

Sorry blues, I'm a bit emotional - it may be the heat, the beer or the match but I just fucking love it. LOVE IT!
That message has touched me. We'll done for being there when surrounded by them scummy red bastards. It was hard for me, but I had fellow mancunians and mates who were in the same boat. You deserve this mucker. CTWFD!!! P.S Your dad sounded like a proper geaser.

What the fuck was the penalty for? I'm right behind the goal and saw nothing. We all thought Tierney was a decent ref, there's that myth gone he gave us fuck all. I think it was that **** Cootes or whatever he's called on var.
seen them given also not give because of proximity
but its rags so given to get them back into game
more annoyed tv showed webb laughing at decision

Amazing time to be a blue. 15 yr old me would tell you to get help if you told him wed be one game away from the treble after beating the rags in the cup final
I thought the same when King Colin scored at Rotherham in 1966.
That was just the start of the rollercoaster we got on.
The Bobs was tame compared to this ride - I'm glad I stayed on!

You can and your will 'cause "city city...
I feel like I did when we beat Stoke City. The only other time I cried happy tears at full time.

I was delirious when Sergio scored but this felt like I'd just witnessed something new and it's only the beginning.
