But with Rice and MacAllister also looking like their futures lie elsewhere.....i'm very intrigued as to who is next in line.

Feels like at least 12 months ago, maybe 18 months, when tolmie first said that he is our number one target for this particular window. So to have had him as the main target for so long, and to not get him, it has to be considered a blow. How much of a blow, we don’t really know yet as it depends on who is leaving, but a blow nonetheless.

Our recruitment strategy has been SPOT ON since we got stung with that miscreant from Monaco.

Not sure what changed, but City were certainly optimistic of landing him after initial discussions when we played Dortmund at the Etihad in September. It's a shame, as he's a great player but as others have said, at least he's not gone to a domestic rival. Be interesting to see what City do this summer. Personally, I'd be more than happy if we kept Gundogan and Bernardo, and just added Kovacic.
