If he actually turned down a chance to come and develop his potential under the greatest coach on the planet... well nothing more needs to be said really.
It's a huge risk on his career for me, Madrid are a magnificent club but one that does not have a history of looking after their players. If he actually turned down a chance to come and develop his potential under the greatest coach on the planet... well nothing more needs to be said really.
Apparently he’s got a 6 year contract. Takes him to 25. A perfect age to come back to the PL. And at his prime as a footballer.
He’ll have played in the Bundesliga, La Liga, and finally the PL. City, Liverpool, United and Arsenal will be in for him if he wants to return to England and to the PL when his contract is up at Madrid.
The lad and his dad aren’t that stupid. Very sensible, if I’m honest.
PS. Who knows where City will be at in 6 years time. New manager, new players, possibly new CEO, etc.
Hope not we will be in a world of doom if that’s the case :)The club has form for leaving it another year if we miss out on a player.
Perhaps hoping Phillips can play more to finally rest Rodri?
He didn't media making up shit thereLabelled us a "plastic club" so can do one.
He may want to come back to England - depending how things go he may fancy coming to us.
For me not interested........ you get a chance and if you blow it thats fine your choice but no seconds.
Wonder if we’re working on a winger instead and moving Foden to the middle permanently.I wonder how long ago we actually moved on or away from discussions?
March/April I saw somewhere, maybe the Athletic. I’d have thought even before that.I wonder how long ago we actually moved on or away from discussions?

I think City moved on a while ago, to be fair in the media we’ve barely been mentioned/linked with Bellingham for a while.Probably the first time we haven’t we have used our trusted sources to say we had walked mate?

Around a month ago some on Twitter said they’d heard City were still getting him, but I was told it was still RM, which I posted here and City not in the frame unless something dramatic happens. Has been RM for a while.

City are on it, we may not hear anything then someone signs out of nowhere but City will be on it for sure.We need to be organized this window as it’s a shorter turnaround before the tour leaves on the 15th July? Would be great to have any new guys in already and we had heard these txiki was busy during the World Cup period during negotiations etc?
