Inter Milan (N) | Champions League Final | Post Match Thread

Looking back at the highlights vid it pisses me off a tad that the ref blows his final whistle when he does. Much prefer it when the ball is in play and we’re all biting our nails then the whistle goes it’s like a goal goes in.
Thought he timed it perfectly. The last thing we wanted was the ball back in play.

Just watched the last 5 mins and celebrations again. I thought BT sport coverage of that was great to be honest. Who was the guy on the pitch interviewing players. He seemed delighted.

I can't stand BT Sports, but I thought the reactions at full time were brilliant, very praiseworthy of City (rightly so) and no sniping or cheap digs, like other broadcasters. Just appreciation for an amazing footballing achievement.

just popped up on you tube maybe you can see yourself in the crowd?

I really enjoyed this. Great insight -Pep winking at the cup after receiving his medal, commiserating with the Inter players and just a different angle on things. Plus you could really hear the City fans!

Fuck Me …. Pearce must have taken his dog to Istanbul only for it to get run over by a City bus. That can be the only reason he looks so glum.

Fair do’s to Durham who punched the air in celebration at the final whistle.

Saw Durham’s bet slip. He had £500 accumulator for 0-0 HT and Rodri to score second half @ 10/1.

TBF he’s paid to say controversial things to get people to ring in which he’s very good at.

I think he was genuinely pleased at FT

Pearce can FO.

Thats the clip I tried to post after the final but I was pissed up and linked the wrong one

City have gone global , people around the world want to see great attacking football , but it goes deeper than that , City have an identity , a down to earth club , no bravado, no “we are the biggest club in the world” shite , the soul of the club hasn’t changed for decades , we are a cool club to support , we always have been , this journey could only happen if we had soul , money is only a vehicle to propel something, there has to be something underneath it , us blues know , we know how big a club this has always been, who knows where we would have ended up without Swales , we were on the cusp in the 70’s , it’s okay for other clubs to look deep into their history , but it’s something that was beaten out of us for far far too long , well people know now don’t they , this is where the PL has been a disgrace , it’s promoted the clubs that have been successful since 1992 , with cosy CL money with a lot of genuine big clubs left on the outside like us looking in , we have always known what we are ,this type of success , prolonged success , doesn’t happen to the likes of Leicester and Blackburn, the club is a team from top to bottom , evident by the group staff photos on the pitch when we triumph. Pep , has changed this club forever.

Or his Daughter's stuffed horse he iused to have by the bench for inspiration/luck.His unhappy face looks as miserable for most of us at the thought of the season he managed, when we scored 10 at home all season

Durham has always said City are his 2nd team, from his years at Manchester Uni.
Being in the posistion he has been in for years though he isnt going to suck us off 24/7he makes his money through interactions. Difference I always found with him and other shock/interaction hosts is that he will always have a valid fight rather than just some nonsense

Never knew he went to Manchester Uni as he always bangs on about his time at Hull Uni where is became a Hull RFC and Rugby League fan in general.

Rather, put the club where it truly belongs.

Watched again Several times.
In The Rodrigoal build up one key thing goes unnoticed: Gündogan's superb control to recycle the ball to Foden. Wish there was a reverse angle to see how superbly he flicks it and passes to young Phil; the rest is history.
Phil's pass around the corner to Akanji deserves praise. The easier option was to pass further back
