Watching Kovacic’s videos, he does more dribbling passed opponents than I was aware of. He’s quite similar to Rice in being able to burst passed an opponent or two.

Well looks like you had your money on the right sources, so now is the time to talk him up.
So Pep has finally got his midfield general, £50 million less than Jorginho was quoted to us, and he does not come with a myriad of senseless passes, that Jorginho does, regarded as a technical player playing in the most technical national team, is suggesting the experts do not know how to describe him, best calling him a deep lying playmaker, those wishing to see exciting football maybe dismayed, but those wanting to see good football will be happy, Chelsea fans rate him still, he is good when they win and invisable when they lose, so we should enjoy him better than they did, :).
So now i am putting on my Pep Physic hat on, we are losing experienced players and Pep loves experience, most of his buys come with this trait, Kovacic may well be the foil for a raft of pacy players at LB,RB LW,RW and CM.

They don't though. We drop back 10 yards and they regroup and say 'OK, you're 10 yrds further back, now what are you gonna do?' teams are a lot more comfortable letting us have possession than they were at the start of the Pep project, and it shows - we don't really score 5/6 goals a game anymore.

That's why we miss Raz - he used to mess up their defensive rhythm by giving them the ball.
