Glastonbury 2023

Caught a bit last night.

Astley doing the Smiths was brilliant
Manics very good
Kelis excellent
Monkeys were pretty good and their drummer is just fucking mustard.
Manics were good, but it didn't make me want to rush them along to do a tour.

Just Watched Rick Astley on iPlayer.
Showman, entertainer, and surpringly diverse in his set. Did what he had to do and more, keeping a crowd entertained, and involved.
Worth a watch,
Watching him now doing The Smiths. Fair play to him, he is having the best day of his life. Once the weirdness of it passed Im right into it

Caught up with a few this morning that I missed last night. Cristina and the Queens...nope, not for me. Lizzo...no idea what's going on but people seemed to like her. Raye...not a bad voice, musically not for me, Sparks not bad, Lewis...such a shame but his songs are quite dull, Texas and the Pretenders both very good, then back to watching Mr Astley enjoying himself in and out of the tent. No pretentions, just having fun.

Just watching G'N'R from last night. BBC did Axl no favours with the mix at the beginning but instrumentally perfect. It got better and really happy to hear Pretty Tied Up and Uncle Charlie's Down On The Farm.

Capaldi has been forced down our collective gullet over the last year or so. Not a fan of his crying moaning, but he was on a TV show over here a while ago with Niall Horan and gave me the idea of having jalapeños on a chicken fillet roll, which is something I will remain grateful for.

The lad obviously suffers from imposter syndrome.

He's a fantastic song writer and in a business full of pretty boys singing shite pop songs he's pissed all over them. He fully deserves all the plaudits and I get why he feels he doesn't.

I hope he gets what he needs whilst he's having a break.

What time does the live broadcast start on iplayer?

I was wanting to watch Sophie Ellis Bextor and her beautiful square head but they didn't seem to be have it live on iplayer

Catherine Anne Davies who joined the manics on stage..... She is an ex partner of Paul Draper formerly of Mansun and there is a dossier of over 100 pages of evidence against him for stalking her.

He was allowed to tour earlier in the year before the court hearing and people actually went to still see him despite knowing this. Nothing has been said on what has happened in court, I thought that would be in the public's interest.

Anyways, moving on, it's only Queens of the Stone Age I'm looking forward to so far, but will check out some of the recommendations posted here.
Talking of spousal abuse…

…oh the irony
