PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Except the one fatal flaw in UEFA's scheme, the right of appeal to an independent arbiter. The PL haven't made that mistake.
That's true but the people on that panel will probably be lawyers who won't want to damage their own reputations by bringing in an absurd decision which flies in the face of all the evidence. City have held back so far but I am sure they have plenty of information to put in the public domain which could devastate the Premier League if they had to. And don't forget we are currently the biggest brand in the PL and have huge commercial value to them.

I can’t imagine any information that would be used to blackmail the PL. The time to use anything as leverage has long passed.

And I’m not sure the PL would be arsed if they take City down. Our place at the top would be taken by one of the teams in red and they would much rather that that having us there every year.

I really hope we find out who was behind the YouTube video. I’m sure they have done everything to cover tracks but I’m sure it will be known within football circles who financed it.

Love it ! is it just me, united fans I know have really withdrawn into themselves since we did the treble, ever since 1999 its been "their" title hasn't it "the treble winners?" We've actually ground them to dust, I think they actually realise now that we are actually bigger than them on the world football stage. The treble win of ours has been monumental, I'm of the opinion that our fanbase doesn't really realise the significance of what we have done.
the word treble now is associated with Manchester City Football Club, anyone from the age of 35 and younger in this country cant even remember United's treble win apart from TV repeats. We live in the age of social media platforms, and its City who are the talk of worldwide football followers now. We have totally erased them.
Has anyone heard off Gary Neville on our treble win, he's been exceptionally quite on all things football recently hasn't he? I've scoured the usual media outlets and cant find a fucking thing about our treble off him at all-almost as if he thinks its never happened.
Too busy getting bitch slapped from Keane and spit on the overlap. Still dining off a fake rivalry. Now he is going on dragons den. Don’t think he likes football anymore.

I'd assume the contributors would know - no self-respecting journalist would sign up to a project where they had no idea who was making the programme.

I'm sure if someone asks one of the interviewees from the show, they'll be happy to share. I mean, why wouldn't they?

I'm not sure we know which email accounts were hacked excepting the account holders name?

Pinto hacked everyone he could, there would have been dozens, hundreds or thousands of others he failed to get into.

Der Spielgel had to invest in expensive specialised software which trolled through everything looking for links and chains of emails and associated documents. Yet they only published 6 emails from 5,500,000 stolen just from ourselves. Depending on the source you believe he eventually turned over 70 million stolen documents from all different hacks. Lord knows what he hasn't turned over.

Most of those he got into would’ve offered nothing of interest based upon a few basic buzzword searches and it’s highly likely even Pinto hasn’t read 99.999% of the emails he stole.

If it came to that, I doubt it would be as blackmail - that would be a fairly stupid approach to take.

It may just be showing the skeletons in the cupboards to the world, and damaging others. If some of it damages the PL, so be it.

Does it have that mood music playing in the background to make us appear even more guilty, you know the sort when a poor animal is dying on a wildlife program and you are not sure if it is going to make it or not?

I've noticed they've started doing what we did in the 90s - dressing their unfortunate offspring up in their ghastly kit garb and parading them in shopping malls and airport lounges - a kind of act of defiance because that's all they've got.
The scousers are past masters at this - they see a flight from Manchester Airport as their Agincourt - you will wear the kit Our Jimmy - that's shown those Mancs.
I fly out of Manchester airport about 6 times a year it makes me laugh the amount of scouse scally parents with 2 or3 kids in tow dressed in full dipper kit.The other thing I've noticed on holiday is the shops selling the snide footy shirts once it was rags now its city haaland shirts .Landing at the airport abroad go for a slash the foreign bloke next to me Manchester Manchester City happend twice this year where taking over

Maybe blackmail was too strong a word to use. But the time to use any information as leverage passed the minute the PL referred the case.

oh in abundance mate!! its a full on City pile in and they should change the video headline to " Its obvious Man Cheaty are guilty"

for leverage, yes, I agree with that.
Having gone this far, I think City are fine with the panel's constitution (whoever it is) and it's independence - the thing about a query about Rosen being an Arsenal member was only released as "believed to have raised" as far as I know.

I'd also add that any reaction would require a very bad outcome at the panel, and would be quite targeted at specific targets.

The court case didn’t mention City once. It seemed to be about Sporting Lisbon, Benfica mostly.
