Or not play him
Or not play him ;-)
Say it twice, even!A
Keep saying it, broken leg or not
He is in disgraceful shape for a professional athlete ,
No excuses
Be akin to playing Dias as a keeper because he is better with his feet and hoping he can make a save if required and hoping that they come straight him.Always, always play your best keeper and if he can bat then even better. They win games by not missing stumpings and dropping regulation catches. Both drops today would have been meat and drink for Foakes. His feet just don't move at all, it's akin to Haaland just standing on the penalty spot and watching cross and after cross coming in and just watching. No anticipation, no reflex movement, nothing. He isn't a test keeper and you may argue he isn't a keeper full stop. Might just about get away with it in T20 but not here.
It's not even close, in my opinion. If I sat down and thought about it for 10 minutes or so, I could probably come up with at least 10 names I'd put above the crybaby. And that's before I get on to music and politics!Honestly, if I were given the choice between the two I’d feel aggrieved about having to choose.
I’m no cricketer but why the hell were his legs so so far apart ? He was almost at full stretch, how’s he gonna get his feet moving ? Just terrible, he badly needs a scoreHis footwork is just not good enough, makes everything he does difficult as he is rarely in the correct position at the crucial time. Look at his footwork going down leg side shocking never going to take that catch.

In cricket there's no one higher on the list. I'd probably give Kohli a slap and I'd love to have a swing at Ponting even now! It's not even close, in my opinion.
