Depressingly predictable.
I hold Bairstow responsible more than anyone else. Should never have insisted on being given the gloves. Decent lower order batsman and that's it. His ego is writing cheques his talent can't cash.

That’s harsh given his form last summer before his injury. I can understand calls for him to be dropped but I can’t recall many people saying he shouldn’t be selected for the ashes at the start of the series

Some of the shot selection this series from our batsmen has been amateur stuff l.

The keeping and slip fielding has been what's let us down though. Catches win matches and we've dropped so many dollies.
