Yep, mid engined madness in a R5, I had the 5 Gordini before that, that was 1600cc front engined and that was crazy fun but the Turbo mid engined was lunacy, lucky to be still alive to be honest.

Crazy mate (although ime the Fiat Uno turbo was worse, but shout out for the Mitsubishi Starion turbo, that was fantastic), one of the old ‘Gooch’ lads in the 90’s had one, a black one, full body kit, looked like the Batmobile and really looked fantastic, not sure if he had anything else done to it, but it topped out way over the supposed limit they were down as (about 130ish I think).

I know, incredible the prices of the 80s hot hatches have gone crazy.

I also had a Mitsubishi Colt turbo, I hated it with a passion, when the turbo kicked it the chassis was all over the place , it simply could not handle the power.

That era of hot hatches was so much fun, I miss those days!

And another bonus, speed cameras and speed bumps did not exist, happy days!!

Land Rover Defender 90. Ideally in blue or green with a white roof and steel wheels.

They're crazy expensive now for what they are but a few years ago you could pick one up for fuck all.

You can still pick one up for next to nowt, but it'll cost you £25k+ and eight battered finger tips getting it up to scratch.

The ultimate money pit.

You can still pick one up for next to nowt, but it'll cost you £25k+ and eight battered finger tips getting it up to scratch.

Hard to find one that isn’t held together by rust and dried sheep shit for less than about £15k now. Either that or they’ve been blinged up to look like they’re about to do the Paris Dakar but haven’t gone further than the local Tescos.

Always like my Renault sports hot hatches and tried everything to get one of these, but could never get an affordable one..

Me dad used to have a Peugeot 306 XSi - 5-door in Silver - but very rarely had the keys of it. By far the bestest car I've ever driven.

I had a Renault 5 GT Turbo but it was front engine not mid-engine.
Went like a jet powered roller skate but was a magnet for thieving scrotes.

Škoda Yeti. Nowhere near the best car I have had in terms of technology, speed and comfort but there was just something I loved about that car and I was gutted when they stopped making it. Probably the cheapest car I have owned too.
