I hold my hands up and say the only thing I remember of the few times I watched him was his screamer in the world cup a few years ago. I definitely trust in pep!An honest question? How often have you watched this guy play? How has he managed to be capped 49 times by France by age 27 and been a regular at Bayern for the last 4 years? He's a World Cup champion and a Champions League winner. I'm sorry but one doesn't reach those levels of success by being a poor player. I'm not saying this guy is Maldini and you may not fancy him for God knows why but you can't call him a fairly large downgrade to just about any FB on the planet and expect to be taken seriously. If Pep wants him here and believes he brings value then case closed...just sayin'...

BaitGood player. Good advanced data. Should be cheap. If he was in our squad and trying to leave you'd all be moaning about us losing depth. He's an upgrade on Walker as an asset.

He's a lot better than Kyle going forward.
He's good defensively given he's a CB
But he won't shut out the likes a Vini Jr and Mbappe like Kyle does.
So we'd get a better more rounded player that won't be as effective in the big games(defensively).

It’s a player that suits our system well but he ain’t no Walker.I suspect it's correct :(

If Pavard weren't in his last year and refusing to sign an extension chances are he would not be available. I would go so far as to say they've moved for Walker partly because he'll sign a multi-year deal...So what now? Who in the market is the right profile that suits us and is actually attainable? We can only make 100m exceptions for cases like Gvardiol. And as you said, Walker is the one who refused and wants to go. What can we do other than replace him with what’s the best suited option on the market.
