I wonder if FFP would allow a club to agree to buy a player for say 40m but not pay for 5 years and instead City has a choice of the money or the choice of any player?

Pretty much us as the wicked witch in a fairy tale being promised the first born. Hee hahaha haha!!!!!
 
Napoli are looking at Kilman… wonder why they won’t go for Laporte when he’s cheaper and much better and suited to replace Kim

Kilman is 26, and has an astoundingly good injury record.

Laporte is 29, and has had a few serious injuries.

There is no way City put £25m price for Laporte, that price came from Italy.I don't see City accepting anything below £40m.

It's not who is the better player right now, but who is better for the club.

You said Laporte is cheaper, but in terms of football finances, he's probably a lot more expensive - higher wages, and minimal resale value + less longevity.

He should come to the Premier League. Look at Thiago Silva, Ashley Young, James Milner, Joao Moutinho, Jamie Vardy ;)

The average squad age in Italy is very similar to the Premier League. There were only 6 older teams than City in the PL last season. In Italy there would have been just 5.

Laporte is quality if we let him go he should be £60m.

otherwise lets stockpile big bastard defenders and play 3 at the back. Kyle can take his willy to Germany and wave it at some busty beer maids. Joao can go pull his face wherever he wants.
