Players who might improve us

Entitled?? Behave yourself.

We may as well stick with Doyle and other academy boys if we are going down your route.

I'm more than happy to go into the season as we are, other than unjustified panic and neediness, fuck all has really changed.

When you say "as we are", I assume you mean that we keep Bernardo and the other 'wantaways'. If so, I agree.

Obviously, if they all leave without replacement, we're up shit creek. However, if we're going to try to sign 'like for like' to replace each of them, we've got a tough job ahead to identify suitable candidates.

This Brazilian right winger was linked to us, Newcastle and others awhile back. Going to Saudi Arabia. Only 25, played for Barcelona. Last season had 23 goals and 7 assists for Zenit.

The bankrupt cunts have already probably mortgaged the 7.5%. How the fuck this pathetic club is allowed to continue buying players while we get investigated to fuck for fuck all tells you all you need to know about the level of corruption in football

AL hilal? think you've read that wrong.

Doesn't mean that they wouldn't be able to do a good job as back-ups in a bigger squad. They're decent hard working players with PL experience.

As it stands, we're looking at rotating about 15 players, and I've not been particularly impressed by many of the names 'linked' to us up to now.
I agree. Not every player we sign has to be "world class," although that is what some on here seem to think we should be doing.

Having a team full of "world class" players causes issues because everyone thinks they should be playing all the time. And they are correct really but, that's impossible.

We can have a "world class spine" of the team, Kevin, Haaland, Rodri, Dias, perhaps Stones, depending who you ask, Ederson, and someday possibly Foden. Add to these players some good to very good players who are happy to, start cup matches, can do a job against mid to bottom half teams and are happy to rotate in and out and I think that is the ideal situation.

In my opinion, thinking every player should be world class sounds very raggy.

P.S. I did not include Bernardo as I'm not certain if he will be here this season.

And they say we cook the books .Unbelievable.

The weird thing about this thread is nearly every attacking player realistically attainable isn't as good as Cole Palmer.

Honestly, I'd love for loads of our youth players to success and become regulars in the first team. It's not realistic.

However, how many have we given a proper go before discarding? Not really any.

I'd just like to see one or two, who may be borderline, given a season where they start a few proper matches and make a decision that way. Give them a chance to fail, they may surprise us.

I'm more than certain that the likes of Palmer (add McAtee and Bobb to that), wouldn't cause a massive dropoff in team performance at home to Bournemouth, Everton or Luton.

Palmer is especially odd for me. I feel like if we were watching this technically excellent player shine in U21 tournaments, who's also homegrown we'd be all over them.

Unless it's Chiesa or Kvara or Leao he should have Mahrezs spot. We'll play 60 games.

Sold to Al Hilal for €60M. Biggest transfer in Russian football history. I should note that Al Hilal was the club supposedly after Bernardo, and Malcom is a right winger

Karim Adeyemi. Can play on both wings, and is the quickest Bundesliga player ever recorded (over Haaland, Coman, Sane, Davies etc.). Combination of pure pace and close-control dribbling. Dortmund paid around £30m for him last summer, so he’d probably be expensive, but we could also be hitting 200m in sales this summer, so I guess money shouldn’t be a big issue. Mainly plays on the right side for Dortmund

Previously i didnt see room, but given Mahrez's exit and hopefully a loan for Palmer,id be all for this signing.

He is a huge talent, just needs the best manager in the world to tell him.
100%

Superb technic , he just picked the wrong club to join, more down to his scummy agent.

At Chelsea in difficult circumstances he showed plenty and more importantly showed he could handle the pace and power of the league.

For me he would be sensational under Pep in this side.

My 1st Mahrez replacement is Felix, but if Pep isn't interested then maybe Eden Hazard for free if he is ok mentally & physically.

A fit & motivated Hazard can be a real asset.

Adeyami isn't a bad call. I am not sure Dortmund will let him leave at this stage.
Jamie Bynoe Gittens being the understudy. Dortmund have also signed Felix Nmecha for DM...

In total, they now have 14 players for midfield and the wings. I'm a little jealous.

Even accounting for one unproved promotion from the b team, three u-18s and a 34 year old Marco Reus, that seems quite a lot. At least two of the u18's are highly valued.

I think they need a CB and will probably move a couple on, but I wouldn't know who.
