Ok, there are two concepts of value here. Both can be argued, but they're irreconcilable. One is that there is intrinsic value in something, and that it can be identified, and so it is objective. The other is that it's purely relative, and therefore subjective.

By the way, it's worth taking another look at that brilliant scene in The Life of Brian, which I don't need to identify, I trust.

Fuck me, this thread has veered off into some fucking alternate reality. Some ****'s overpaid for butter and another one's wife and daughter are taking the piss about a purchase in PC World or some other gaff........what the fuck is going on???

Sure sign that the close season has gone on for too long (even though it's been short), and that we're champing at the bit to go and do that treble again…

Nope, you paid what you thought was the right amount for that butter in that shop at that time.

I didn't. I think 1.75 is overpriced too.

Anyone that's ever bought a pair of Beats headphones has overpaid. Or bought a utd top.

I would do my job for less if pushed, equally as well, arguably my boss is overpaying me.

There are umpteen examples and instances. Good mental gymnastics and all, but overpaying exists.

Just watching Trailer Park Boys on Netflix. Not sure how much Netflix is but I've definitely got a bargain......
