For what it's worth I think it would be bordering on arrogance not to replace Mahrez.

I like Bobb and I hope he's around the first team this season. But this will be his first season in professional football. He's not a Mahrez replacement.

If we need a skilful winger who can play either flank and also stay with us long term then why not? He’s right footed, and already played senior football unlike ours, also neither Oscar or Palmer can play on the left far as I know. Definitely one to keep an eye on imo. I’m not sure which experienced wingers on the market aside Sané (which I honestly doubt can happen) can work for us and are actually attainable?

Good point. I do think we could be alright for RW with Bernardo, Foden, Bobb and Palmer. It's more the LW where we look mega short - hence Gomez playing there in pre-season. I'd be tempted to dip into the market for an experience LW to really give him some competition.

We have sold a load of youngsters for good money so far and just sold Mahrez yet are seemingly haggling at £5-10m for Josko?

We've spent 2 weeks away, doubt it's made the slightest difference to our transfers.Except made it more beneficial for Gvardiol to stay with Leipzig until we get back.

They have played Kounde at right back. They most definitely do. Sergi Roberto and Sergino Dest is shocking for CL aspirations. But that said they can stay at the level they are to be fair. Already owe us money.

While you commend City's transfer policy of not overspending on a player, sometimes you just have to pay what the selling team wants. Every player is overpriced in today's market, so if we're going by that we'd never sign anyone. I think City are just going to have to stump up this 85m for Gvardiol or miss out on him altogether. I feel for him in this as it seems he's desperate to join us

I think we're absolutely swimming in cash at present, shitloads of prize money last season, negative net spend for the last five seasons etc. Obviously we've a big court case coming at some point and the North Stand redevelopment so maybe that's restricting our spending somewhat
