many noble businesses have sold for a quid - BHS, the millenium dome even Chelsea FC.
They are a bankrupt organisation and needs every aspect of it's business to change to even have a future.
The only reason is has not closed down so far is because of the value of the goodwill.
So in other words whoever buys this club is buying tangable assets of £1 and intangable assets (their Stupid fucking name!) for £5,999,000,000
Every day i think to myself is this the day they announce they are in administration!

Both his former clubs. I remember a few years ago Berbatov tipped both his former clubs, the rags & spurs to finish 1st & 2nd when there was no logical reason to back it up. They'd both had shit seasons the season before & their transfer dealings prior to the new season didn't suggest they were going to do any better. It's beyond embarrassing when ex players big up former clubs when there is no foundation behind it. Obviously letting heart over rule head.

Midland bank, once the biggest in the world was sold for £1. BHS was sold by one dodgy person to another for £1 and promptly went bankrupt £300m in arrears on the pension fund……but Mrs Green got her divi of £900m or some outrageous sum.
