Cashless society

You wouldn’t catch me in that pub if she was on. They go from apathetic to lazy to rude to useless round here.

It’s a physical job but if you can’t treat drinkers with a little respect then you won’t last.

It's my local, I'm sure she'll be found out soon enough as a lot of old regulars use it. Stupid really as most tip quite often but there's always one greedy fucker with no qualms about ripping decent people off.

I had a refund for a delayed train today. They sent me a F..kin cheque! What am I supposed to do with that? Genuine question?

Might depend on your bank but with both my personal and business accounts I can scan in a cheque using the app if it’s less than £1000.

I had a VAT refund from HMRC and these come via cheque.

My income tax refund from HMRC went straight into my bank account as I applied on line. had I not applied I would have received a cheque about 6 weeks later.

I do receive a cheque but tbh I rarely bank it, it’s that little, and my bank that far away, by the time I’d done it, there’d be little more than a couple of quid left :-S.

Yep. And to have a card machine, you need a bank account. To have a bank account, you need a permanent address.

The second line isn’t true. The majority of major banks have a partnership with Shelter and probably other homeless charities to enable homeless people to open a basic bank account.
