Anyone hear the ranting scouser on the Nicky Campbell phone on 5 Live this morning? Campbell gave him loads of time to accuse us of everything.

He also managed to shoehorn United into the conversation and described them as the ‘World’s Greatest Football Club’! Natalie Pike came back with a laugh of surprise and said she can absolutely no idea which club he was going to give that accolade to!

My complaint to BBC about Simon Stone's Kane article, making out we bid £160m for Kane in 2021:

Simon Stone's article about Harry Kane refers to "a £160m move to Manchester City" a link is provided as if such a bid existed or has some substance but there was never any such bid.
Simon Stone is misleading and factually incorrect in his article. Simon Stones will know most readers will not click on the link and discover no such bid was ever made, but putting the figure in bold will fool many readers into believing such a bid was made.
He is a declared Manchester United supporter and regularly reports with bias when reporting on Manchester City or Manchester United matters. He frequently tries to undermine
and portray the Manchester City club in a negative way. While he does the opposite when
reporting on Manchester United. The BBC Sport website normally has a large and disproportionate number of petty Manchester United articles as if the whole sporting department is trying to promote this club above all others. It seems the BBC is institutionally biased in this respect.

Yes I did and I phone the show but was too late to go on so I've complained saying they should have been aware that a passionate supporter from Liverpool was likely to make certain accusations and they should have allow for a challenger, but by not doing, and parsing him his false statements and lies are left to linger.

Followed by Natalie Pike introduced as a 'Burnley' fan, and asked by Nicky Campbell if she could 'pretend to be a Burnley fan', to which she says no 'I'm a Man City fan with a podcast' lol. So Campbell asks her to comment on 'the greatest team in the world, Man United' - but only after telling her she's 'too young to remember the bad old days'. Honestly.
Imagine the phlegm spreading if he asked the same of one of the rawk denizens that seem to pollute the bbc.

The frantic Scouser saying how he’d watched a load of documentaries on YouTube! Must be true.

Feels ironic (football being ruined by crazy prices etc…) that he’s just said this:

Liverpool deserve credit for Caicedo deal

Simon Stone
BBC Sport
Liverpool chief executive Billy Hogan comes out of the Moises Caicedo deal with an immense amount of credit.
Whilst Chelsea were constantly linked with the Ecuador midfielder - and had a succession of bids turned down - Hogan worked quietly behind the scenes, establishing what deal was acceptable to Brighton and how to put it together.
In public, their actions have been swift and decisive.
We won't know until he starts playing how big a transfer Caicedo to Liverpool is but the suits at Anfield have definitely out negotiated their counterparts at Stamford Bridge.”

I’m increasingly thinking that Simon Stone (intrepid BBC reporter) is some sort of fucking comedy act. He manages to be a **** and a clown at the same time.
