Potentially can expense the payments a year further into time if the purchase obligation isn't until a year from now. They're a mess.

You would need to speak to those who do the deals, but I suspect that Barca don't have the necessary funds for a transfer atm.

Getting him out of the way with a commitment to buy at a later stage is what we might have to settle for.

I think this Is City laying down the marker price, not so much for Barca but Al Hilal who might be his only option come the end of the window.
