Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

So was Garnacho against us at the swamp and at Wembley... Monday against Wolves he was like Dill the Dog.
nobody is saying our management is perfect, however they know what they want, they wont always get the players, but they also know more about players than your average football fan and know what they don't want.

we all know a quality player when we see them, so do our management team, but we don't know their true character, and they will have a far better idea what that person is like and if they will fit the profile of player they are looking for, maddison for me comes across as a bit of a billy big bollocks, i could be totally wrong
So every time we choose not to sign a player it means there’s something inherently wrong with them somewhere? What was the reason we didn’t sign Enzo then?

Curious to know the player's response. I'd expect him to be going ballistic if he'd actually not done anything untoward and this was wrecking his chances at a dream transfer. I'd have my reps front and center feverishly having this fleshed out ASAP. Otherwise, I'd have to believe he did do something deemed inappropriate...

Pep was talking Maddison up earlier in the year, but it doesn't mean that he was asking the board to sign him.

He can play, there is no argument, but perhaps City didn't think he was right for the team ?

I agree mate. Pep talked up Nathan Redmond at one point, but I never saw him in a City shirt.

I'm just saying that some BM posters change any previously negative views on players very quickly if Pep expresses any sort of interest in them.

Is football.

A bit harsh that Jim.

Just my opinion on this occasion
The forum has no problem with fans of rival clubs being on here, though quite a few posters don't like it one bit. All we ask of them is that they're open about their allegiances, which he certainly has been. And that they don't indulge in criticising the club and/or its staff. We don't want them to worship at the altar of Pep. I don't think that's unreasonable.

So as suspected - just your opinion then . And they do know a lot more than the average supporter, which I guess is what you are .

I will carry on judging player acquisitions when made by the professionals , but thanks for your input .

It would also be helpful if you made it clear that it is only your opinion, rather than trying to sound like you are much more in the know.
I didn’t think it was necessary to state that I was expressing an opinion on a forum made for just that, and have never pretended to be an ITK on any topic on here. I simply believe in the player and am not the only one as Tolmie once suggested here that pep was crazy about him and asked for him. Keep on judging the professionals like they’re not human beings who get things wrong and I’ll keep on speaking out my OPINION (clear enough for you??) as I am entitled to. Have a great day!

Criticising the signing of Phillips is questioning the decision of city's management for signing him. If that's the case 95% on here are trolling and in danger of a ban
Fair point. But we received a report on this guy, and I felt the informal warning was the way to go. If it comes across as harsh, I'll gladly apologise to him.

We have Kovacic for that.

It’s obvious that we’re looking for a creative 8 with good work ethic, technique and high footballing IQ.

I don't think Kovacic is a great defensive mid though. Doesn't have the physical attributes for it.

He's great in a double pivot, but not sure he's the man for the lone 6.

I think this move is off the table, it's unfortunate, but it is what it is.

Seen names flying around like Goncalves, Olmo, Wirtz etc but I think Pep and the board wanted a player that could potentially play as a 6 and an 8 and these players are hard to come by.

Paqueta due to his physical abilities could have adapted well as a 6 in some games and would have been a good fit for us.

I think the worry for Pep is if Rodri gets injured, he clearly just does not trust Kalvin Phillips and clearly does not want him at this football club.

If you can't get on for the last 20 mins when you're 3-0 up against Burnley and you see the likes of Cole Palmer and James McAtee coming off the bench ahead of you, that tells us everything we need to know about how Pep feels about Kalvin Phillips. He just simply doesn't trust him.

If the key is to make sure we have cover for Rodri... I'd like Caqueret from Lyon. Then again... He doesn't create or score much (scored 4 league goals and assisted 7) and we do need creativity with De Bruyne out injured.

Difficult decisions to make now. Not many options on the table for us.
Why go out of your way to bash Phillips when there was no need whatsoever?

I'll give you a quick tip. Wumming and trolling the forum is against the rules. And having a pop at City's management, when you're on a City forum (as a fan of another club) is trolling. Now; this is a final warning. Behave yourself.
I support City, don’t know what evidence you have used to conclude that I don’t, and I have not insulted a soul or expressed myself in a distasteful manner, so take your threats elsewhere

Go and play out with the other kids .

Oh btw Tolmie doesn't get everything right .
