We all know the circumstances around his being "cleared", but there is such a thing as the court of public opinion. We all know it was an open and shut case had not the complainant withdrawn her cooperation.

He wasn’t “cleared” to say so is wrong Charges were dropped due to the only witnesses withdrawing and we all pretty much know why

There was always going to be a limited number of outcomes and it wasn't that hard to plan for each one. They seem to have done nothing and then just hoped they'd get away with getting him back in the squad.
