Spanish FA President Luis Rubiales | Resigns (p 34)

Reading some of the posts on this thread takes me back to my days as an office Junior (yes that far back!) when I was warned about certain men (always my superior as I was the most junior member of staff) and I used to even avoid passing them in the corridor!
I thought we’d moved on from those days of being touched and mauled by men with power.
It’s beginning to seem we haven’t. Very sad.
@Eccles Blue whilst I agree that some of the comments in here suggest we are still in the 70's, I do think the vast majority of men now realise that kind of behaviour is wrong. I'm suprised so much is being made of the kiss, wrong as it was, compared to him grabbing his dick. To do that, to have no realisation that you do not grab your dick, in front women and millions of TV viewers, is just bizarre, it is a direct 'youre having this love' action. Yes men did it in the 70's, we didn't know any better, to be so lewd now, in public and to think it acceptable is just messed up.

The **** was out of order, end of, even if he says emotion got the best of him, he hasn't appologised just doubled down on his own bullshit
I can't even understand the whole emotion getting the better of him argument in the first place. Seen so many people dismiss it as a heat of the moment type thing but it's not like it was the final whistle and he's grabbed the first person he sees. It's a whole series of moments where he's grabbing and squeezing the players one by one.

It's like people who match someone on Tinder, arrange a meet up, drive to the place, have drink, then go back to the person's place and cheat on their wife. And then describe it as a 'moment of madness.'

When we beat QPR the woman next to me and her husband got jumped all over and hugged, not once in that emotional moment did I think I need to frenchie her (or him ;-l ) as a reaction, a hug amongst fans to a goal is normal, feeling them up ain't

Him using it as a reason is pathetic and even more so as it wasn't in the heat of the moment, the game had passed and the time between the final whistle and podem getting set up was a while.

this is nothing more than an dirty old perv coping a feel and going too far, not spur of the moment at all

Seems to me that lots of these footballer types seem to think women are fair game. It stems from being in an environment where they have women throwing themselves at them from being adolescents. As such they have this mentality that they can act how they want around women with impunity. There’s quite a long list of City/united players who have been involved in sex scandals in recent years - I’d wager a far higher percentage than the membership of Bluemoon for instance.
I don’t know what the answer is but it’s quite an unsavoury side to football.

Yeah, we'll probably see him judging Miss Spain next year and making sure to 'celebrate' with all of the winners.

He finished his career at Hamilton Academical. I'm not sure how many women he would have had throwing themselves at him.

You're the President of a National FA. Your team has just won the World Cup. A few minutes after the game ended you are so pumped up and in a state of euphoria that your emotions get the better of you, and after a player hugs you round the waist, you put your arms around her and give her a smacker. And people want to take his livelihood off him? Call me old fashioned but, Fucking Bollocks.
I disagree.

You’re president of stuff, you behave presidentially.
Would he have given Sergio Busquets a kiss on the lips if Spain had won in Qatar? I don’t think so. Do you?

The first thing the President of the Spanish FA does when Spain wins the Women’s World Cup is publicly emphasise that Jenni Hermoso is a woman - not a World Cup-winning captain.

He humiliated her, and by extension the whole team.

You're old fashioned.

When we were at school you could play kiss chase, ping bras and what not but you can't now.

You certainly as a president can't just kiss a player full on the mouth and pretend it was consensual and what was the crotch grabbing stuff all about as well?

Two things one game.

Resign with some dignity or get sacked in shame.

Wonder if there’d be such a furore if this was an attractive female kissing a male player?
She would probably get called a tart or slapper, as history proves a women who isn't flirty is fridgid and ones who are are whores BTW this isn't my opinion but is still common place thinkimg amongst many males (and some females)

She should have just kicked him in the balls. Would have been great television.
