Threw that away, really. Curran and Neesham batted brilliantly but if that difficult catch had been taken at 5 down, it would probably have been a different outcome. Fine margins in this format.

It’s a ODI World Cup not a T20, and our highest ranked ODI batsman is RoyHe’s our highest ranked T20 batsman. Only 6 in the world now, but was 1st for quite a while.
It’s bonkers that Brook isn’t in the WC squad though. Roy should have been binned for him, imho.

England are an incredible team as well. Batting, bowling and fielding was pretty much perfect.

I saw Bairstow was on 70-odd with about 7 overs to go, and smacking it all over the ground, yet he ended up with 86. I thought he was well on for a ton.
