To be fair to Lee Hughes, at least he served his sentence rather than using his money and power over the victim to weasel his way out of any responsibility. I think that there's generally more of an argument to allow someone to come back when they've actually served their time. I wasn't condoning his behaviour, just sharing a story about immature teenagers in a toxic relationship. I would also partly blame his club for putting them up in a multi million pound mansion, thinking that they would play house, like it's the 1950's.
