No mortgage or other debts means my salary of around 35 k is sufficient for my wife and I to live relatively comfortably.
The cost of living increases have made us a bit more careful however.
It's the people having to pay rent,and/or trying to get a foot on the housing ladder I feel sorry for.

They just need to stop going starbucks and cancel netflix dont theyVirtually impossible in London. People way into their thirties, now, pulling down what would once have been considered biggish salaries. Two bedroom flat definitely beyond them, in anything like a decent area. One bedroom flat just about possible, but then if you want have a kid/kids? I'm talking about people I know, here.

God I had to Google 'salary meaning' ive never had one. I reckon £40,000+ would be good, I don't earn that, but if I did I'd consider myself a big shot

Depends where you live..In Mcr 1k a week was good, but in London you would probably need 3k a week. Switzerland you need 6k a week

Well 3.5 acres do need a lot of maintenance but fortunately not that much.and that's just the lawns.
