How long is a piece of string?
10 Marklars. How long is a piece of string?
Can you clarify what you mean by a wife not keen on spending money? There are so many factors to take in to consideration as others have pointed out. No matter how much anyone earns they will always say they need more. I am in retirement with no debt, no kids and a wife not keen on spending money. On average I need a take home spend of around £6k per month but I would say around 1/2 of that goes on running/maintain my house which will make it easier to sell when we decide, if ever, to downsize. When ever I look on Rightmove at houses for sale when it shows a monthly payment which has to be paid out of taxed income, for what is an average house, I think Christ how can a family with other commitments afford to buy that.
Doesn’t want expensive holidays , quite happy to have a small run around car, if her credit card bill is high that month she has a moan about it, always goes for the cheapest option on most things. No matter how many times I say you cannot take it with you it falls on deaf ears. Can you clarify what you mean by a wife not keen on spending money?
Itll be tough youngsters getting on the ladder. Plenty will manage it plenty will only do it with bank of mum n dad money. Thus widening the haves/havenots gapWe are lucky house paid off, kids left home.Took the descision last year to get out of the high paid stressful job been doing that 35 yrs.Took a massive pay cut but with Mrs part time job and mine we can manage on 38k.We are able to eat out once a week.Go to 10 City games a season.Go to all the jumps meetings at Sandown Park.Save a little. We have never been happier i have no stress and dont dread going to work.Would not have been able to manage 5 yrs ago.God knows how the youngsters today are supposed to get on the property ladder.
