North Stand Construction Discussion

When we first moved in a big ‘thing’ mentioned on the tour was that every seat was the exact same distance, in a straight line, to the centre circle.
Couldn’t quite get my head around that.
If it was true then is it the same still for the SSL3 and if so, will it also be the same for NSL3?
That cant possibly be true.

You must mean every seat in a particular row?!

The stands would be in a circle over and around the pitch if that was the case.

Not if it was the distance to the centre circle as claimed rather than the distance to the centre spot.
I still think the claim is bolloks though.
The ones in the corner are definitely further away than those on the halfway line, whether it’s a circle or spot. Deffo bollocks according to my mate Pythagorus.

I think they said no seat was further than x from the centre circle - not all seats were the same distance away.

If you want to see a ground where every seat is equidistant from the centre circle, in a ground holding 60k people, some would need a very good telescope to see the other end of the pitch

The Gene Kelly was entirely due to us moving grounds, there was not point investing in major capital works and by the time they were complete having one year left. They were mobile formula one event seats and did okay for 2 years, and one in the Kippax/Platt corner for the mini GK.

Off topic, but what has been discussed recently, construction costs.

Everton FC’s dire financial position has been eased slightly with the receipt of more than £100m towards construction of its new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.

The 52,888-capacity development has soared in cost from £500m to £760m.
