Agree. Wirtz is contracted through 2027 and will probably not leave until after the Euros next summer. I think Müller‘s contract is up in Munich next summer, so Bayern will inevitably be favourites to land his signature, especially if he has a good tournament. If Paqueta is cleared, he will have a known release clause and be both cheaper and league tested. That might be more attractive to us, especially if question marks persist over Bernardo and we are also integrating our own youngster: Bobb.

Not in the games i've watched.......he is usually far more inconsistent and less dynamic,against us,he was far more 'up for it and on it' for the 90 mins.

Toney was officially charged by the FA in November 2022 and then subsequent charges were levelled in December of that year. He was officially banned in May 2023. Not entirely similar, I appreciate, but it gives an inkling of how slowly the wheels turn.

With the international nature of the Paqueta case, it may take even longer for things to come to a head, so I’d be surprised if he’s clear to move in the winter window. Indeed, my concern would be that the cloud might still not have lifted by next summer. That would make planning extremely difficult.
