Not at it so far this season. By his standards, which are high, but we may as well judge him against his own standards.
Said it a few weeks ago, and nothing has changed my mind.

Waiting for him to click into gear.

Spot on,i think everyone but Pep could see it.
If you weren’t playing Haaland there surely play the other lad who’s actually in form and can hold the ball up and battle unlike Foden. Would never sub Haaland personally anyway when we’re trailing and it looks like neither will Pep.

I know what youre saying,he can score in an instant and when he is invisible for 99%.....but today he was just throwing our shape and play,we would have been much more solid without him.

Offered nothing, atrocious today, worst performance in a City shirt, never even missed any chances, like playing with ten men, I’ve always been your biggest fan but today you were wank

Show us next couple of games that you are the greatest!

Completely invisible. First time I think he's properly been like that for us in a season and a bit. Even when he's not getting chances he's making runs. We're playing way too slow right now for him. Get rid ;)

23 years old, arguably the most talented player on the planet. Had a quiet few months by his insanely high standards, but still has been absolutely world-class. Quiet today, but it's not his fault. He absorbs a lot of defenders and creates the necessary space for others. Sadly, we couldn't take advantage of it today.
Nah mate, he was really shit today

Don’t think he’s anywhere near the most talented player on the planet. Physically yes but in terms of touch, technique, skill etc he’s miles off. Not slagging him off we’re incredibly lucky to have him but he has many things he’ll hopefully improve on.
Best finisher in the world but could he do ten keepie ups? Let’s get him up to the level where he can beat Bernardo at head tennis, Dias at squats and better Header of the ball than Bernardo

The leagues top scorer wasn't at it at all today, which isn't much of a surprise given the missing links in behind him.

Fairly confident he won't be a talking point for too much longer.

This lad needs Kev back sharpish. His supply line has been cut.
Today yes but in previous games without Kev we’ve created shitloads for him. Unusually for him he’s been missing a lot of sitters. Today the service to him was nonexistent and so was any link play or hold up play from the big man.

It's been my theory for a while now that Haaland has it in his contract that he will start every PL and UCL game unless injured, and he cannot be subbed off unless he has already scored or gets injured.

If anyone can disprove this theory with facts, not only would I be interested but kind of relieved because my theory has Pep's hands tied in a way I don't think is great for the team. But I can't think of a single time the above theory can be disproved.

Aston Villa 3-1 home victory last February.
