Official: Etihad Stadium included in formal bid for Euro 2028

I see the rags have put out the deflective statement that they would have loved to have done it but they might have the builders in. In other words our ground ain’t up to scratch and is a ramshackled cow shed with holes in the roof and is not up to Uefa standards unlike the Etihad.
The sixty odd years I've been watching City, the swamp has always been a shithole, hence the song.

Though I read somewhere that The Etihad has to change to city of Manchester stadium for this tournament.
Stadiums can't have naming right showing.
The Aviva is changing to Dublin stadium.
May have picked this up wrong though

You're right, Us, Cardiff, Dublin all have to go by "neutral" names, we'll always be the City of Manchester Stadium

1. London - Wembley Stadium (90,652)
2. Cardiff - National Stadium of Wales (73,952)
3. London - Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (62,322)
4. Manchester - City of Manchester Stadium (61,000)
5. Liverpool - Everton Stadium (52,679)
6. Newcastle - St James' Park (52,305)
7. Birmingham - Villa Park (52,190)
8. Glasgow - Hampden Park (52,032)
9. Dublin - Dublin Arena (51,711)
10. Belfast - Casement Park (34,500)

Would it upset anyone to change the name of CoMStad to Maine Road? It being a name used only when no sponsorship is allowed...

...or does the City of Manchester Stadium name carry more power? Curious on the views.

Maine Road is and was Maine Road. But, I am sentimental about its name.

Would be a bit confusing considering there’s no Maine Road there.

A good chance to show off our facilities to the rest of Europe, I’m sure Uefa will be impressed, might see us get a CL final. I’m always a fan of allowing other clubs to use our training facilities, especially when facing that shower, so hopefully one of the big sides chooses our campus, and the players are suitably impressed, can’t do any harm with any prospective future signings, unless it pisses down all summer

Apparently the Rags had to pull out of being a host stadium cos they couldn't guarantee they'd fix the roof leak in time.

No swamp, anfield or emerates tick tock you red fuckers especially the rags this is the first time we've 'out grounded' them.

Spurs ground simply has to be the London venue other than Wembley. Credit where its due, they have done one hell of a job with that. Stunning stadium, particularly the giant 1 tier stand.
