United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Not a single in-game replay of the Rodri penalty incident until the VAR review process showed it for the first time a few minutes later.

Also Sky were too busy showing a kerfuffle for a City freekick near the end of the game (93rd min) but missing out the Wife beater (Antony) attempting to headbutt Doku when they were out of camera range.

That Antony really needs a good seeing to.

Well. It’s always nice to get up after a(nother) derby win.
So much better than that lot. For over a decade now. And not by a margin. The gap is huge.
Great performance by the team.

How many passes till the 3rd went in?

Peter and Mike Barnes, as young lads were in the corridor at Maine Road before a Derby, Busby came up to them and said you Ken’s lads? he took them in the dressing room and stop the players to make them sign autographs for them After the game all the players would go to a private drinking den. Busby said, who’s taking the Barnes boys? George Best said I’ll take them Pete and Mike duly pilled into the back of his yellow E-Type
And that mate is the difference between SMB and the GPC in a nutshell

Sir Bobby will always be England's greatest. Shame Denis's health means he couldn't attend. As a kid I saw all those older legends in their prime. And what about Buzzer - he looks to be still capable of launching a football.

In the 60s/early 70s - our players and theirs used to socialise together after games. Treasure them.
Buzzer and Best even had a shirt shop together

Neville in his podcast suggesting you can’t doubt Ten Hag is a top class coach. Really? He has failed to improve a single player at united, seems to have alienated a good many and his ‘brand’ of football with players he knows is non-existent.

Anyone else had the displeasure of hearing Hargreaves' commentary?

To sum it up: "Rashford has been very effective on the right."

i really enjoyed that.

I struggled to pick a MOTM, but i have gone for Grealish (but i think i've already changed my mind!!). He kept that whole attacking left completely locked down in terms of presence and tracking, plus provided control of the pace and great passing too. I thought "Jack is back!".

Antony should have been sent off, asbolutely, i was very surprised the ref let that purposeful hack slide just because they were getting drubbed. Another surprise was getting the pen (in that, it was a pen and it was given at all).

Great all over the field, Erling was brilliant - I am going to take away some of Onana's credit for the save on HT as the header went right at him but loved the way Haaland leapt like a salmon to score in harder circumstances.

United are sliding deeper into an apathetic disaster, City need to start to accelerate towards the Liverpool game now .

The pen was technically correct as there was a clear foul. But it was soft in the sense that you see half a dozen of those grabs every game which go unpunished.
It's the inconsistencies that wind people up though? Akanji was booked and sent off last week for less contact? Probably went to our advantage him not being available this week admittedly.

Amazingly it wasn’t Maguire for united who was finally penalised for man handling in the box after so many years of combining wrestling with his Easter island modelling.
But at least the VAR finally did something about the incessant (years) man united manhandling.

Be another 50 years before the next penalty for City at the scaffold though.
We didn't get the other one which was even more blatant
