Mate, this whole shit show is premised on the idea that everything coming out of the oil rich Middle East is related and there's a grain of truth to that, but a grain isn't enough for the Premier League to nail us, so they're screwed.

Meanwhile ignoring the fact that you can trace a link from any major sponsor to any other clubs owners, tenuous though it may be. It all depends on where you draw the line. That said if any deal (not just for us) is not above fair market value, then it makes not one jot of difference.

Not strictly correct. Balance of probabilities is a concept which usually only applies in common law countries. Thus it is widespread but not universal. Countries which operate on the lines of Napoleonic code/ Roman law tend to define their own standard of proof in civil cases. Thus in France the judge decides who has made out their case and there is a concept of “preponderance of evidence”. In Germany the parties must prove their claim is true, so much closer to beyond reasonable doubt.

I asked him if his investments in Barclays Bank and the UK tech sector were all "money laundering" as well. He was a United fan from the Midlands who had apparently no idea where Ancoats was and had no idea about Sheik Mansour's huge developments in Manchester itself. I’ve seen some info on stadium costs on here but can’t find it. Can someone (@Prestwich_Blue ) explain if what we spend on our stadium redevelopment is outside FFP or will it impact on what we can spend on players etc?
