He’s absolutely brilliant. My new favourite player and he’s a joy to watch. What a signing!
 
I told you guys. This guy has the potential to be a top 5 player in the world.

Not to take away from a magnificent performance, but I am somewhat concerned by his lack of connection with Haaland. I expected more chemistry between the two, but so far they don't read each other very well.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola to Sky Sports about Jeremy Doku:

"What surprised me the most is how we knew his one on ability but how clever he is when he has to take a decision, it's really good. Sometimes he attracts one two or three layers and his decision is really good to take the extra pass.

"I have a feeling he understands everything so we say some comments, maybe you should do this and reflect and he says yes and applies immediately. He understands the game really well. He is incredible threat, so aggressive close to the box so good there. I don't want to change the skills that he is but so far every game he has played he has played well especially here at home.

Take it you didn’t catch our away game at West Ham ?
 
I just worry about his fitness given his history but City's track record is better than most in that regard.
 
Brillaliant. Hope a few of our other players can take a leaf out of his book, things cannot happen if you don't try. His goal was a perfect example of that, coming inside was actually probably the wrong move in the moment, the ball out wide was on with akes overlap and every other player in our squad plays it but he wants to be the man to create, he tries the harder thing and gets his reward with a goal.

He's gone top of the assists chart in one game alone. really wanted to see him start against united, i think he tears them apart like today and were celebrating a similar scoreline too. I don't see how pep can leave him out, he's huge for us already, imagine what he would do to TAA against the dippers, would make Milners effort 2 weeks back look like prime Ashley cole.
