Lol, he does like him and has defended him to the hilt previously. The penny is just dropping though.
I guess without the Brian Clough accent it didn't work for some. :)

What penny is dropping? He's an outworldly talent and will improve on the mental side. Its very possible that he just conforms to the Belgium culture as a younger squad member. He is more engaged for City and working with Pep will improve his mentality. Belgium are a joke, they didn't even bring Courtois because of Tedesco's ego.

Never once said he isn't talented, he clearly is. Just doesn't instill the same feeling of confidence I had in the 22/23 team, approach and set-up. A relentless, ball retaining juggernaut. He will always come on and attempt to do something positive, probably have some success doing it too - such is that type of player.
But, as extremely brilliant, debating posters have pointed out, Pep still picks him and that's all that matters, so end of discussion.
