Not so long ago players from the rags attracted premium transfer fees yet rarely met expectations. Recent ex-City players have delivered. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich all have ex-City players in their squads whilst Chelsea, amongst others in the EPL, have spent serious money on Sterling, Palmer and Lavia, not to say about coaching and backroom staff appointments.

The sad thing is that MSM will only acknowledge the achievements of City when the current generation of commentators are gone and with it probably MSM as we know it too. To me, Pep is the greatest coach/manager of all time but to think CFG and Manchester City will not continue successfully after he departs is naive.

Ferguson at the rags was an aberration held up by financial dominance. The fiscal model has changed as has the supporter base. Other clubs now aspire to be Manchester City FC..

Those clinging on to priviledge, entitlement and recent media history including the MSM are on a sinking ship.

We have ex City players currently with the top Premier league teams
Arsenal, rags, Chelsea, Newcastle Spurs, Villa.
It looks like our players are definitely on the wanted list.

The media love to hail any City leavers as a success at their new clubs, however in reality so are and some aren't, and it's all relative anyway as most have gone as far as they could in terms of development at City.

Erling and his Dad are extremely intelligent people and know that he is where he will achieve everything in the game with the best owners. Shame the press can't cope with that.
Pathetic stories desperately wanting to reinstate the old order. Obsessed with it. Zzzzz.
If it's not Real then it's Barca, the difference being that they would want our players on loan or on the cheap. They seem to think that with us having so many ranking ex-Barca connections then getting our players would be a sure thing.

The reality is that our club is now at the top of the tree and is likely to stay that way and the professionalism within is fully accepted by the players. These former glamour clubs will obviously have a pull on players at the end of their careers, such as Gundo, but the younger string like Haaland have Europe to repeatedly conquer before heading off to a lifestyle of restaurants, wine bars and beaches where they can relax and show off their medals.

David May and Wes Brown also spring to mind

Alan Smith was left out of Englands squad for the 2004 Euro’s in Portugal. He signed for the Rags over the summer - no significant games were played before England played in mid August - Smith started the game ! What changed over the summer apart from him signing for that lot.

BBC United - Mediacity.

Rag Shill c*nts!

Wins: Brentford, Sheffield United, Fulham and Luton Town.

Loss: Man City.

I recommend you don't read the fawning article by Slimy Stone on the BBC. They've just beat Luton at home 1-0 and everything is great and it's time to accentuate the positives.

Not being naive, everyone loses some top players occasionally. Barcelona and Neymar? Just that all our top players cannot wait to escape, Pep is leaving next week, Txiki and Ferran are off back to Barca. Just so bloody tedious and insulting to our club.
And whilst we’re at it, Bernardo has been leaving for the last four years, did he sign a new contract in that time? When he eventually leaves/retires, no doubt people like you will say I told you so.
