PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Having failed to stop City by foul means, the G14 European elite clubs ensured the Champions League format was changed to include an additional English place.

In fact, if an English team won the Champions League & Europa League & those teams finished outside the top 5, England could feasibly have 7 teams competing.

Just like City, Newcastle are now living the dream, but you're now finding out like we did the nefarious lengths that ManUre, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea & Spurs will go to, to protect their hegemony.

You Geordies will soon become accounting experts like us City fans have had to... :-)
This is so true, We have some fantastic posters on here, real Lawyers, Accountants etc who decipher the bullshit from the English click-bait football journalists and the twitter sewer. Every day is an education on here.

If only we had someone who was a dab hand at keeping a dossier on the

What ever happened to hIm? Different thread i suppose

We were very well liked in the 60s, but not by the BBC who had a monopoly of tv football. Btween Christmas and the end of the season we were shown once (apart from the final day) against four times, iirc, by the rags, despite the fact that we led the table for most weeks. The only time the BBC had the rights to a Euro final and did not show it was our winning the ECWC.
My first huge City disappointment and I still bear the scars. I was 6 years old and giddy with excitement to watch the game, when right at the last minute the BBC announced they were going to show the Cup Final replay between Chelsea and Leeds instead. I cried buckets. Cnuts!

The media have always disliked us. When I was a kid my Dad used to talk about it all the time.

As a Newcastle fan these new rules they're* trying to push through are hilarious and so fucking transparent. We've abided by FFP, we've got a stack of new 'fair market value' commercial deals, and now here's some new hurdles. The established cartel are bricking it that we'll usurp them.

We can't loan a player from the Saudi league, but literally every other club in the league can? That seems totally fair. Will it stop Chelsea hoovering up young players from their feeder clubs, or Man Utd, or Liverpool? Course it won't.

We can't get a sponsor unless we've got similarly valued bids from other companies? Has that been the case for Man Utd's official tractor partner? Were there multiple tractor companies all offering up partnership deals for the same price? Was there shite.

We've not spent anything like the money Chelsea and Man Utd have, and yet we're still above them, still playing better football, still fielding the likes of Jamall Lascelles and Jacob fucking Murphy. This is all because they're scared their time at the top is coming to an end, they're trying to pull the drawbridge up behind them.

*by "they" I mean Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd and Spurs.
Perhaps your club shouldn’t have co signed a letter to uefa about city demanding stricter financial checks on deals done by clubs owned by wealthy people? Welcome to the club
