PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It is getting very boring this 115 charges. The cartel have 1 league in 33 yrs,0 in 20 and 0 in 10.The media fawn over them like they are prime Real Madrid. Most of us supported this great club in division 2 and quite frankly we would probably do it again.I would have thought that if we are found guilty it will just hurry up the European super league. One thing when this is all done apart from Martin Samuel the main stream media should be banned from the Etihad.Having said that the media as we know it is finished.Anyone can be a journo you tube proves that. They have been out to get us since they worked out that adug are not fucking about.

Liverpool failed, Leicester failed. Doesn't matter if they qualified or not, still breaks the PL FFP rules for some reason with City? but not others.
Liverpool were charged, but cleared of failing UEFA FFP in 2015. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/feb/27/liverpool-cleared-ffp-hull-city-fined

Leicester were investigated by UEFA for 2021/22 FFP breaches, and were found to be compliant. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/...ll-news/leicester-city-ffp-uefa-covid-7541817

Leicester failed EFL FFP in 2018 and were punished.

Neither Liverpool or Leicester have broken the PL rule that requires UEFA compliance.

In Chicago there are more than 2! ;-)

Do you remember Apple and Microsoft tried to kill Google and they went to court but it was all settled privately?

Do you remember Fox's lawsuit against Dominion? It was settled privately in the end.

We're big enough that we won't be at the mercy of some tribunal imho. If we are, Khaldoon has made a major mistake with trusting Soriano!

This is what is so infuriating all I’ve seen is Everton fans going mad about us to the point of flying a plane over the etihad on Saturday. Why aren’t they bringing this up!?
Yep, if the scum are likely to be deducted points, Everton’s points deduction goes away imo.

I'd like to think City are connected. If there's any dirt out there that we know about (and we probably do) we will be more inclined than ever to use.
Hmm I like to think that too. Did you (or anyone here) see the news yesterday about abu dhabi funding/buying the Telegraph?

I like to think our owners have given up on humble and honest approach. That they've realised its the loudest voice that wins.

The vast majority know very little about FFP and even less about our charges (or Everton's). Even if we were found "guilty" of all the charges, we're talking about probably £12.5m per year. I thought it was slightly more but Reuters estimated the image rights as £10m, whereas I thought it was around £17m. That's nowhere near enough to turn meeting the PL's FSR into failing them, as Everton did.

And none of our charges post-date 2018, so for the last five years, while we've won all these trophies under Pep, there's been no problem.

I take some of the charges to mean they’re effectively challenging big chunks of the sponsorship revenue.

Haha. Cunts.

Cunts indeed.

Although I would like to know what "leading the push" and "applying pressure" entails. As far as I was aware, this is now completely out of the PL's hands and sits with the Independent Commission. It makes sense that they pushed for charges, but in terms of reaching a verdict I've no idea how they think they'd possibly have a say in that.

Does no one think that maybe, just maybe, we did break a few rules?
Nope. If it’s good enough for the lying media and the ignorant mob to continue to slander our good name then why should we give into reason?

No evidence has been put forward to show city’s guilt. What we did like everyone else is use accounting measures within the law.

Looks like it but Etihad and Etisalat were both cleared by CAS. Which is precisely why I say these charges look pretty desperate.

PB - apologies if this has already been answered but just whilst you're here...

Do you have knowledge of how the panel works in terms of "who goes first", IE does the Premier League out their evidence across and we then defend ourselves? Or do we show all of our submissions which we believe proves us to have acted legally and they then get the opportunity to pick holes and attack our submissions?

Appreciate how criminal trials work but just wonder if this is the same?

I think you’re dead right. They could have really damaged us a decade ago but any attempts to kill us off now we’re treble winners, completed the threeple etc…let alone the global football clout of CFG and Abu Dhabi at our back…not a fucking chance. A few hacks in the press box, Gary-Fucking-Lineker, the BBC, Sky/TNT, juvenile butt-hurt fans of the old Sky 4….all yesterdays men. We are a big part of the future - whatever they think.
They should’ve drowned us when we were a harmless puppy, we’ve now grown into a snarling big dog and will seriously hurt them if they try it on. The smarter ones will get that and shift their ground. It’ll happen. Either way, these no-marks will not be taking us down. I don’t think many of them realise how far and how fast they’re falling behind.
