PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Mancini was previously employed in an advisory role & it may well be that we did it for the reason they suspect. However that doesn’t make it wrong if all contracted, legal & Mancini provided the services he was paid for.

Oh I totally agree. What’s considered “wrong” or illegal in the real world is totally different to ffp rules. I have no issue with city operating however they wish and have zero time for ffp but that doesn’t mean I side with the argument we haven’t inadvertently or even knowingly broken or tried to circumvent these ffp rules at certain times.

The Premier League are a joke without laughter. Shambolic. Making things up as they go along and being goaded by prehistoric morons who wear red and live in the past. Premier League are the stooge of the entitled elite. Everton lawyer's should be able to drive a bus through this comedy show.

Would you pay it if a copper knocks on the door and says we’ve had complaints of speeding & we can see you have a fast car. We want you to tell us how many times you’ve been speeding?

When you tell him to fuck off you get 115 charges in the post for things like speeding, failing to wear a seat belt, drive without care & attention.

Everyone says you must have done it with that many charges.

I would try to not pay and take them to court because the charges lack any evidence (like city are). However, it does not mean I have never driven over the limit does it…

That’s my point in all this. Some people in here are making us to be saint like. I just don’t believe that. And to be honest I don’t care we aren’t saint like either.

Won't stop them investigating it because we are being looked at from 2008

That's because much of our investigation is based around deceit and concealment to which the 6 year statute of limitation won't apply if this can be proved.

Spurs Defoe allegation and this Liverpool allegation (if true) going nowhere, well outside the SOL.

I’d say Everton with breaking the rules by only £19m and getting a 10 point reduction might have a bit of an appeals case by asking why United breaking the rules by £260m (iirc) ‘a small breach’ resulted in only a £300k fine.

Applying the logic of the slavering idiots talking about 115 = 1150 points reduction, it follows that United should be revisited and have a 130 point reduction instead of their fine…

I never understood the fuss over this - and still don’t. My understanding was that Mancini under the terms of his severance deal with Inter couldn’t take a managers position for a specified timeframe. Mansour gave Mancini a consultancy gig which I assumed was similar to putting him on retainer, or an option on his services, as there were doubts over Hughes.

Hughes then got the bullet earlier than the owners ideally would have liked and Mancini was installed. The consultancy deal was common knowledge at the time and that the two jobs overlapped was more about timing than anything else.

Whether Mancini did any consultancy work or how long the jobs overlapped I don’t know, but why anyone cares a decade or so later is beyond me.

If the leaked docs are accurate, he signed a consultancy deal with Al Jazira the same day he signed the contract with us. It also then looks like we were settling the invoices and negotiating changes to that consultancy deal.

The victory / vote of the decision to allow loan players to join realted clubs is a real kick in the teeth for the 'istree clubs , it is about time the other league clubs stood up to the playground bullies.
The Rags & Dippers and the likes of shithead Carragher believe they can run rough shod over clubs , this vote proves this is coming to an end , we need clubs to stand beside us and deny the red 'istree clubs to dictate the direction of the Premeir league , we know Richard Masters is their puppet so the only way is to vote down these self entitled bastards.

What ever happens here it looks like the Premier League have signed their death warrant. The likes of Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus will be watching on with interest as it potentially puts two of the six dominos from English football back in play if they go as extreme as expulsion from the Premier League. Surely by doing that it puts both City and Chelsea outside of the legal repercussions placed on clubs that exists now if they do form a super league. If City and Chelsea join and the top European clubs resign from Uefa competitions the history clubs in red will have no choice but to abandon the Premier League.

If the Premier League don’t do what United and Liverpool want in regards to removing City from the league, they would then be pushing for a Super League from their side. Either way the gravy train cultivated by the Premier League over the last 30 years is over. I was against it in April 2021 but seeing how things are playing out we should fuck the people over who gave United and Liverpool way too much influence to keep them happy.

The hacking was concealed from being investigated but Liverpool who had major power in the Premier league and why we need an independent regulator

I hadn't really thought about this until I saw a brief reference to it in this thread a few days ago.

The timings of when the panel can sit and then subsequently deliver a verdict are crucial. They know that any potential punishment can include points deductions or relegation so they need to work out when they can actually do it even if everything is ready to do so. Here is just one scenario:

The hearing sits some time in February and delivers it's verdict late March. We are found guilty on whatever charges and the main punishment is a 15 point deduction. From a position of leading the table we drop to 5th and the four places above that change. There is then no time to hear our appeal before the end of the season so say Arsenal win the league. We then go in to win our appeal at some point over the summer then we would be champions. Equally the points deduction couldn't be held back to next season as Arsenal would rightly claim they'd been denied the title. This says to me that the hearing will be in the summer with a verdict delivered early into a new season. Which season that might be is anyone's guess!!

2029/30 probably!

I think our gloves are finally off.

pep warned other clubs to be careful what they wished for in that explosive press conference last season, this may be the start of it

Is this true? Nothing anywhere else about it

Didn't I read that it was first raised publicly/ in the press in 2018? So that is the start point from which the SOL runs? If so, still time left to investigate it. May have misunderstood that part.
