PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I get all that and I may be getting old, but don't you remember the stories about Mancini getting the job at City because Mansour trusted him (had been taking his advice?) and had used him before? I suppose I could have been dreaming all that, tbf. And, in my defence, I did say he could easily have been contracted to AJ to keep him warm, not that he actually did anything worth announcing. We just don't know. All we know is what was leaked from the emails and I doubt that is the complete picture.

Mancini was definitely working for the sheikh / khaldoon before he replaced Hughes and was some sort of 'advisor'

For all we know mancini could have advised them that he can do the job better than Hughes
 
It stinks to high heaven that other clubs are trying to force the proceedings along quicker.
I would imagine the hold up is our end as the pl have all the evidence to bring the charges, so that's why there's press from other clubs.
It took the pl 4 years to find their evidence so it could take us 4 years to prove them wrong.

I seem to remember when Mancini was appointed something was said along the lines of Khaldoon already had a (working?) relationship with Mancini. The word trust(ed) may have been used too

Having said that my memory isn’t always as accurate as I’d like, so I might have made that up :)
 
Watched a podcast from Ian Cheeseman when the news of these 115 charges was released. Took comfort from Collin Savage who explained the issue in great depth. Quick question! Has Collins view changed?

That's how I remember it, but trying to find some evidence to back up my "theory" isn't easy. All the press at the time seems to talk about Mancini being out of work since he was sacked the year before, but the press largely just print what they are told in a press release, of course. On the other hand, the Guardian did mention he was appointed partly because of his acquaintance with Khaldoon. How would he have a relationship with Khaldoon? None of this proves or disproves my "theory". We will find out soon enough and I suppose none of it really matters anyway :D

Hardly. It depends on the settlement. Full payoff and no job as a manager for six months (or whatever) or partial payoff and no work restriction. It’s a contract between two parties that they agree to and abide by. Mancini had a contract with Inter with three years left when he was sacked so there would have been a lot of intense discussions to settle that one!
