Thanksgiving

I quite like watching the games in the morning as opposed to the afternoon unless
I’m actually going to game in person.Much less time for the nerves to kick in.
I enjoy it too, as a good Fuzzy Navel in the AM in my City Pint glass is my go-to with my EPL breakfast.
A group of American mates have persuaded me to watch Monday night football
nit sure it’s a game I’m gonna take to, especially when the QB runs off the pitch!
I mostly avoid the NFL, but it is worth experiencing, especially if you are with invested fans.

I find the EPL and UCL enthusiasm (chants, singing in the stands, etc.) and passion is closer to the college football experience than the NFL.

UM v ohio is the big one, hopefully your Go Blue ref is to Michigan and fingers crossed for that one.
There is only one Go Blue in college football and you are spot on - Cheers, mate!

Speaking of Thanksgiving, the *only* year I didn't go home for the holiday was when as a student there, and we had the home game on Saturday in A2. Great win and memory. No regrets to get to experience the Game in person.

Beat Liverpool, and Beat Ohio! ;-)

If done properly, you are in for a treat. Slow and steady wins that race!

Any *good* (pork or brisket) barbecue you've had has been similarly smoked.
I've asked her to send me some pictures, I love the food in North Carolina especially the independent barbeque places always make a beeline for one when I go over and see her, the beef brisket is the best I have ever tasted

It's simple food done well, I also like the unpretentious way . food in trays etc all very casual

I was supposed to be in Michigan a couple of years ago for thanksgiving and my plans got changed and didn’t happen which I was gutted about. Went to a few Michigan games back in the early 2000’s and they were brilliant. Ann Arbor was a fun town and plenty of good nights out there.

'Corn in sort of a savoury custard.'

I am sorry Buck but that is just Satans cocksnot.

Americans are funny, and weird as fuck..

And fat.
Sweet corn is a big thing here, have you ever tried it? In my part of Pennsylvania they grow tons of it and everybody eats corn on the cob in the summer. A lot of people also cut it off the cob and freeze it for the winter, it's so damn good.

It’s a shame you nasty racist old Euros were so mean to the natives
The natives loved the red coated pony soldiers, it all went wrong where a bunch of traitors took over and were very nasty to them. No longer had us nice British folks to look out for them. :-)
