Carry him a bit against decent teams. Leaves us much more open so if he’s not bagging in those games he’s a bit of a weakness to our system.

He’s a striker playing attacking midfield as a replacement for the best midfielder in the world. He’s doing fine

Probably does need a rest though

He's suffering what almost every striker goes through at some point in their career, even Haaland went through the same situation not that long ago. Don't be so hasty on the critizism, the season is long.

not sure he had a worst game for us than today. not sure this role and position gets the best out of him. to me he is an alternative for Haaland but not in midfield. wonder what happens if KDB is back, who makes way for him.

Never understand what makes a player think they will score from a free kick outside the box right at the death when they have not been at par all game. Might as well have let Ake have a pop.

Hes a little but lost right now. We need more from him, dont know what his instructions are but we need him dropping deeper and linking play. He seems to just run around behind haaland.

thought the one where doku played him on the right was a great chance as he has a superb shot but he tried some weird chip.

Alvarez will be back to being a rotation player once KDB is back.

Felt a bit for Alvarez today because that was a tough game to come into and be looked upon as the main man in midfield to create something after a long flight back only a day or two ago, so no doubt he is still jet lagged.

He goes missing when we play top teams, its a hard posistion to play in Peps system that #8. Would benefit from a few games on the bench, Foden is better suited to that role.

Come on, that's not true, he played pretty generally well against top teams, he even scored some goals and dished some assists.
