I think the lack of transparency around the sentencing guidelines (if there are any) is shocking. The punishment just seemed to be at the whim of Richard Masters, a PL CEO so compromised by his links to certain clubs that it's barely believable.
I might be wrong but has anyone from the PL appeared on any media platform to explain the decision. Seems very strange in this media led world that no one has. Even today Sky have no representation from Everton in the studio.

Sky are in on it, pushing the narrative for the red clubs. The fact that Sky are represented on the PL board stinks.

We messed up and got punished for it, most fans don't dispute that. Our issue as I see it is does the punishment fit the crime. It's like being charged with drunken disorderly and getting a 5 year custodial sentence.
You’ve been stitched up mate. First-time FFP offences should be punishable with fines rather than points deductions. Even our friends at UEFA don’t hand out competition bans for first-time FFP breaches.

And which clubs might they be?

;-)

I do love the fact that they also believe the PL are corrupt. But am I right in saying that their view differs to ours? The fact that we haven't been punished and they have?

I see they had a large banner on the side of a pub that said:

WHERE THERE IS GREED, POWER AND MONEY, THERE IS CORRUPTION.

Let's not forget that Everton, along with les arse, dippers, rags and spuds, told the Football League that they wanted more money, if not, they were fucking off and forming a Super League. They did, it was stopped but the threat was still there so they formed the Premier League. They also took a bigger share of the loot between them.

I have some sympathy over the points deduction as the rags are allowed to be a Billion in debt, but that's OK.

None of the rules make much sense. How can clubs be millions in debt yet keep spending? Points deductions, huge fines only punish the fans. I've no idea what the answer is but it needs changing.

The game has been sanitised and adapted to TV so much now that I struggle to get excited by it. The game is not for the club's fans anymore but for a more worldwide audience as that's where the advertising and audience is. I prefer the hostile atmosphere of a game and football was a place for the working person to vent their anger and forget the stresses of everyday life. Now they want a family to come once a season and spend hundreds in the souvenir shop.
Yes.
Also a chance to escape the 'better halves' for a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon.
Now we've got random women shouting at us during football matches.
(Probably marginally better than spitty though....) :- )

The rags can service their debt so aren't in danger of going bust.
We are also in zero danger of going bust but might be screwed by FFP which was intended to stop clubs going down the pan.
