I've said in the past that I'm not wild about statues outside stadia, especially when they're of players who are still alive. And I stand by it. But if there was going to be one, it's that trinity.
I regret the fact that most people never get to see the Trautmann statue, since it's in the reception area. He's as much a legend as anyone who's ever played for City. He really is a “legend” for me, in the proper sense of the word, because I never saw him play, and have only read and heard stories about him. Same for Peter Doherty.

Similar thoughts really. This trio epitomised City in that glorious period but also through the dark days, they never gave up on us and even though I never saw the three playing together for us, I was always very proud of them. Who can ever forget Buzzer’s prediction after that defeat by united. Im presuming that’s what this is, to represent our history. 3 iconic players from that era or success, and 3 statues from 3 iconic players who propelled this era.But but but…. we’ve got no history, right?
