Rangers Thread - 2023/24

Another huge night under the lights at Ibrox ahead. Looking at our group I thought we were more comfortable than we actually are and we certainly don’t want to be going to Betis needing something.

Seems the feeling among the support is this is a cake walk tonight. Could not be further from the truth. They are a decent team and they have performed well enough in past games. We are nowhere near good enough to be taking anybody lightly

Hopefully the crowd are patient tonight. Win tonight and we are guaranteed Europa League knockout stages …. Again.

I hate seeing players singled out by the crowd as the weak link and tend to back them more but for the first time I can remember I lost it last night with a player after one too many misplaced passes. I actually feel a little guilty about it as the player knows the crowd simply don’t rate him. You can see he is crumbling in front of your eyes.

The manager has to take Sam Lammers out the firing line. We have better options for that position in Lawrence and Cantwell. I’ve said from day one we lose more playing Cantwell out of position than we gain from Lammers and that was before his confidence crash!

European football in the new year and still a possibility of winning group or second place. Really didn’t want to be going to Spain needing a result but here we are.
 
Summed up by one of your own. Shat it again. The mighty Arid, Arab, what the fuck they called again, held you to a draw at home. Tik Tok wanker hauled off at 35 minutes. I enjoyed that immensely. Maybe even a bit more.

Cantwell sub was a dreadful decision! Lammers off, Cantwell moved into his own position and The Young Ulsterman played outwide right Only Clement knows why he took Cantwell off and left Lammers on!! Lammers needs to be dropped as he’s a bag of nerves and getting worse

I knew it was in the post. My hope is our bastard board allows Rogers to buy quality in January. Support will go fucking Tonto if they don’t. I will be at the front of the queue with a Molitov. Or two.
 
Rangers have reportedly appealed Cifuentes Red card.

For me it’s not a Red card as there is no excessive force and if anything he is pulling out of challenge but at the same time it is high up on the Dundee players leg.

I’m not overly confident but they are certainly not the team they were under Ange. Their summer signings have been given a bye by the media but they’ve been absolutely dreadful.

Harts a dud

Both full backs are poor

They have been playing Scales on a regular basis

No Maeda , Hatate and for some reason Kyogo has been dropped

They look like dropping points every second week

That all said the next Old Firm game is at Parkhead. On paper they have the easier fixtures to the winter break and no European football after the Christmas. Then you have January transfer window where they’ll surely have to bring players in.

It will be tight and 2/1 is good value. If they drop anything against Hearts at the weekend then those odds will be drastically cut
