Also Pep has said Ake can’t play every game. I don’t know if that’s to prevent future injuries or to manage something reoccurring.

Yes feels like this must be the case - or they’re trying to manage his minutes prior to the busy season. Akanji played three full games over Intl break so if he’s playing another one feels like maybe Ake isn’t fully fit?

pep said ake can’t play every game, he wasn’t supposed to play the leipzig game, maybe they decided him starting today would be too much.
