James McAtee

Our 3 players on loan in the Premier league are with Luton, Wolves and Sheffield United.
Can't see how these loans are helping any of them
I guess the only comfort is that they are all playing and testing themselves at a higher level than they were. They might have excelled again at lower levels, to be sure, but in their minds that would hardly have represented career progress.

This is where McAtee wanted to be, nothing to do with his agent.

The only reason he wanted to go there was 1, the fans loved him! 2, familiarity! 3, premier football! Hindsight is great thing, looks like it's the wrong choice and Leicester would have been the better option keeping that winning mentality as player is a positive! One benefit of being in a poor team is he will desperate to prove himself once back at city..

Another lesson for James. The manager will get the sack in the coming weeks. I feel sorry for him because they let his only decent players go and have invested sweet fa. They know relegation is coming.

The thing is, will the new manager play to James's strengths. There is little or nothing a new bloke could do.

One never knows, the experience might chasten McAtee to the extent that he is determined not to repeat the mistake and to be more attentive to our management’s advice. Just pray that he escapes Sheffield with mental scarring and nothing worse (see Patrick Roberts).

Can you transfer him to Leicester in January, teams been crying out for a creative Attacking midfielder.

Great goal and great that the new manager selected him. Shame that the win doesn't really help The Blades given other results. Hopefully City will beat Luton tomorrow to stop them pulling away.

Not sure about years but if he was still with us this season he'd be getting little or no game time.
If he can finish the rest of the season well, maybe Pep might give him a chance.
Pep wanted to give him a chance, James requested to go on loan when given the option.

I’m sure he was kissing their badge then!!

Beauty of a goal, mind. Good to see him contributing, think he’ll - and Sheffield Utd will - do well now under Wilder. Fast, attacking football should suit him.

I was always a bigger Palmer fan than McAtee, but I've been extremely impressed with the latter in the few games I've seen of him this season. He's doing extremely well considering his inexperience and the players around him not being the highest quality.
