fuck me sideways
Trump is a successful demagogue demonstrating how a mass cult is created. Many of those inveigled in are well educated and intelligent, see Cassidy Hutchinson. Frightening. It's never been normal. I remember a clip on BBC with one of this old fuckwits repeating Trump's talking points verbatim demonstrating a complete lack of any critically thinking.
That was 2016.
You'd have to be a complete imbecile or crazy racist to be attracted to someone as transparently insincere and self-serving as Trump.
They can’t be that intelligent.Trump is a successful demagogue demonstrating how a mass cult is created. Many of those inveigled in are well educated and intelligent, see Cassidy Hutchinson. Frightening.
I think our relationship with the US is going to become increasingly challenging irrespective of the outcome of the Presidential election, as the country appears to be losing its mind irrespective.Fuckin frightening that the only Two people Trump ever seems to mention and give praise too is Putin & Victor Orban. The actual shitshow that Ukraine, Nato and everyone else will be in if this twat gets in.

Which country?I think our relationship with the US is going to become increasingly challenging irrespective of the outcome of the Presidential election, as the country appears to be losing its mind irrespective.
You’re quite wrong in the implication of your post. Hitler had many highly intelligent adherents, for example. Hutchinson said you had to be at a Trump rally to understand the force of his demagoguery. Falling for a cult leader is not within the sole purview of the stupid. There is plenty of literature on the psychology at play. They can’t be that intelligent.
Ok, let me rephrase that: they can’t be as intelligent as me.You’re quite wrong in the implication of your post. Hitler had many highly intelligent adherents, for example. Both tbf, but they are the champions!Which country?
Or do you mean both?
Ok, let me rephrase that: they can’t be as intelligent as me.
I think a level of stupidity is certainly required to properly fall for a cult leader however it doesn’t mean that very intelligent, usually corrupt, people won’t support one. However they will be doing it to further their own selfish ends and will believe that the demagoguery of the leader will have a positive effect on their fortunes. The majority are fucking idiots though and the minority non-stupid ones are the ones that are the biggest enablers because of their influence in media and big business. You’re quite wrong in the implication of your post. Some people have both so they absolutely can go hand in hand, but I broadly accept the point you’re making as I’ve made it myself on a number of occasions. There are different types of intelligence. there are people with insanely high IQ etc with very low common sense. the 2 dont go hand in hand.
yeah sorry, I meant to say the 2 don't necessarily go hand in hand, I wasn't trying to imply an absolute :)Some people have both so they absolutely can go hand in hand, but I broadly accept the point you’re making as I’ve made it myself on a number of occasions.
Had dinner just before Xmas with a guy who is a long-time friend and colleague of my partner, she’s known him for years. He’s the nicest guy you could ever wish to meet, insanely intelligent and a is a Senior Vice President at one of the top 30 companies that make up the Dow Jones Industrial Average. His entire job and career, which he’s done very, very well at, involves a high level of critical/ systems thinking and being able to successfully connect the dots from disparate data-sets and scenarios. His political beliefs are absolutely insane though, when he gets on to the subject, he sounds no better than the yokel in the video upthread. It really is bizarre.yeah sorry, I meant to say the 2 don't necessarily go hand in hand, I wasn't trying to imply an absolute :)
