Big mistake indeed. They should show some solidarity but they fell for the old Establishment trick or divide and rule.

Everton fans may have a lot in common with us and I have a good mate who is an Evertonian, but it has often been a horrible away trip. I'll never forget how their fans behaved on many occasions and hoe badly we were treated by Merseyside Police in general and in 88 at the League Cup Semi at Woodison. Merseyside is the wild west.

So went on an Everton forum to say they had a great player but might not develop under Dyche

Get abuse from a nuckle dragger and they think their manager is a saviour

I can't help wondering if the PL FFP should just be scrapped, so clubs can find a rich owner and develop themselves into a competing position, but if they want a share of the UEFA (and now FIFA) windfall, they have to meet UEFA FFP. That would balance the opportunity for clubs currently lower down the pecking order to enter the top competitions with the need to stop the clubs in those competitions from staying ahead of the others. If that makes any sense.

I suppose some sort of debt control would still be required to safeguard "community" assets, especially in the lower leagues. Or some stronger sanctions against reckless owners. Possibly.

Indeed. The racist abuse towards Sheikh Mansour on Everton forum "Grand old team" went unchecked by their mods. It felt like they weren't bothered by it at all. While Everton have come along way since when their fans chanted "Everton are white" and other sinister racist stuff, those racist attitudes still persist amongst some Evertonians and they are deemed acceptable by that forum who didn't want to know when I raised it (politely).

Grand Old Team is a site for knuckledraggers and racist ones too. Their mods allow all that shit. Guess that must be acceptable to the locals over there still but can't say I'm surprised.

That Branthwaite is top drawer in every way and had a great game barring Erling's brilliant 2nd.

I never really go on it except for occasional visit to mental health thread. Bluekipper had a much better forum and was well run by Steve who is an absolute gent. This is about the most accepting forum of other fan's generally and seems well moderated. I generally only post on this thread unless something grabs my attention. I can understand why people would feel it weird to go on another team's forum but to me I go on quite a few forums as it's good to see things in a different light. I think the anti city thing is generally our fans of a certain age. Most of my mates have no real issues with City, to me it's not comparable to what we did and though I don't agree with the sanctions from the PL we were stupid and naive in how we conducted our affairs. As a fanbase we've protested against our owners for decades so it was no great shock.

They use ourselves as proof it is corrupt bizarrely, as in why haven't we been punished when they've been docked ten points. Apparently the premier leagues own Twitter page was tweeting about our brilliant bench during our game against them. This really sent them over the edge and was proof we were in cahoots with the premier league.

There is absolutely no point in trying to discuss anything football related with any other fans outside of this forum. The majority, young and old, are as thick as mince, brainwashed by the media about us and quickly resort to personal insults and attacks. Sadly the Everton fans have shown themselves to be as hysterical and insane as the Liverpool ones they share the same City with, but hate for those very reasons. I exclude the decent ones who post here and realise we're not one of the sly six, as their more rabid fans call us, but hate the premier League cartel.just as much, if not more than they do.

There's no evidence that your in cahoots with the PL if anything your everything they don't want. The teams that influence the PL are more of a red colour and want everything in place to protect their so called superiority. I'm of an age where watched Everton at their peak in the mid 80s. Our decline generally is down to poor leadership of the club and spending erratically on players in the hope it would come right. Then continuing to do the same when it didn't.

I know mate, we know that and you know that. Sadly a large section of your fanbase have fallen for the bullshit that we are. This is pretty ludicrous given that they've done everything in their power to stop us and have hit us with 115 charges, in spite of an independent court, cas, completely clearing us of many of the same charges. Mud sticks and they know it. I find it interesting they're now rolling out people like one of your ex board members to say they fear we'll get off due to our owners political sway with the government. They're already setting their stall out in the event we win our case.
