I'm ok with his Vinicius celebrations. He was off the air. He's a legend at United. What do people expect? He didn't want us to win, but why should he? People would be pissing their sides on here if a clip emerged of Micah Richards celebrating a goal against United in the studio but off the air. The important thing is that when he is on the air he puts those biases to one side and views things as objectively and impartiality as he can. I think Rio does this well on the whole. Roy Keane does too. On the contrary, I think Carragher and Neville are less professional in this regard. Their prejudices taint their commentary and the veil slips far too often. Can't forgive him for the over the top celebrations he did for the Vinicius Junior goal against us.
Like a man possessed the rag camel gobbed cnut
The Athletic up to their tricks of using a photo that doesn’t tell the story. You would expect City to be top of their Dissent charts, but of course they aren’t …

There is no mask. He's a United fan and enjoys City losing. Big deal. It's what he does in front of the camera with the microphone that counts.Yup. The mask well and truly slipped that day.
Did you report the first one?
I was always amazed at how innocuous pro-City replies were deleted in the Guardian, while 'cheats' comments were allowed. So, I clicked on a few random pro-Liverpool comments, and they all got taken down immediately.
Part of the reason this happens is less grand conspiracy, and more that there are far too many overly-sensitive Liverpool fans in the World.
I don't mind him doing it, but why show it on live TV when City are the English team in the competition?I'm ok with his Vinicius celebrations. He was off the air. He's a legend at United. He looks suspiciously like some cricket bod.
The worst thing, in my opinion with this article, is that it only shows a photo of the Erling incident, which cost City over a £100,000 fine ?The Athletic up to their tricks of using a photo that doesn’t tell the story. Yes. Jordan was silenced and shouty had lost the plot, we'll doneBrilliant call Sir if he posts on here
Agree he was brilliant, not easy to get your message across when those two pricks are constantly interupting.Shoutout to Jay on talksport who's just put Simon and Jim White in their places. Bravo.
Correct. I can't remember it being shown on TV but I do know that Jake Humphrey tweeted it. I think that he was wrong to do that and, if it was shown on TV, then BT were wrong to do it too.I don't mind him doing it, but why show it on live TV when City are the English team in the competition?
I don't blame Ferdinand. I blame BT Sport for showing it, thinking it was great fun for everyone to see.
It's different in my eyes, City, utd, domestic league games.I'm ok with his Vinicius celebrations. He was off the air. He's a legend at United. What do people expect? Just had a quick Google and both ITV and a local media outlet have published the same details. Can't be right to publish address details surely?

Man admits mocking Heysel stadium disaster and racist abuse at Merseyside derby
Joel Barwise, 26, made pushing gestures towards Liverpool fans during the game against Everton at Anfield on October 21 last year.www.runcornandwidnesworld.co.uk
It seems to be a regular distraction tactic away from City, whenever Phil is being analysed :-To be fair that was Laura wood’s asking and comparing,Ferdinand put her straight saying until he wins trophies and does it on the big stage in big games he can’t be bracketed as world class ..
“He made fun of a tragic football disaster in Turin in 1985 and shouted racist abuse when a key Liverpool player’s name was announced. It’s not exactly an accurate representation of the night in Heysel is it…..
The gestures were made to taunt the home fans about the Heysel stadium disaster, when 39 Juventus fans died in a crush before the club’s European Cup final against Liverpool in May 1985.
Just a man who didn't want us to win because of his club loyalties. I'm not at all hurt by it. Since when did people start caring again about rival English clubs doing well in Europe? I'd be perfectly fine if Richards/Lescott/Onuoha did the same if United conceded a goal. I can tell you one thing - if City go out of the CL then I sure as hell won't be cheering on Arsenal as this country's last representative. It's different in my eyes, City, utd, domestic league games.
We were England's only representatives in Europe at that game/stage but that didn't mean fuck all to him.
He wanted us to lose full stop.
A **** of a man who just couldn't hide his distain for us
I'm also sure if lescott jumped around the studio celebrating a goal against utd in the semi final of the champions league it would be the last thing he did on BT/TNTJust a man who didn't want us to win because of his club loyalties. Does it not mention who caused the “tragic football disaster”?“He made fun of a tragic football disaster in Turin in 1985 and shouted racist abuse when a key Liverpool player’s name was announced.
